She was old and not able to eat and I decided to let her go before things got worse.

Oh, Sandy. I'm sorry.
It has hit me pretty hard - I found a place in Huntsville that does pet cremations and I took her body there this morning and I cried about her some more, something I have been doing off and on since I made my decision Tuesday.
Thank you so much for your sympathy, guys. I used to think I would prefer to grieve alone but all the hugs and well-wishes I've gotten have helped me alot.
Sandy, I say I am so sorry for your loss. Please accept my sincere sympathy. I wish I could give you a hug.
